It didn't do 2D platforming right, in my personal opinion, because the the platforming controls are so incredibly loose that precision platforming is a NIGHTMARE. Even Unleashed didn't have this problem, if I remember correctly. Colours improved on Unleashed in a couple of aspects, but was WORSE in others.
That, and any 3D gameplay style that uses 2.5D as a crutch to carry more than half the damn gameplay is something I'm not exactly keen on. That, and it doesn't help that the 3D sections are practically automated half the time and are incredibly linear.
Colours wasn't bad (Unleashed was, though), it was just... Mediocre.
