Silver is just another useless friend the sonic series can go without.

And to be honest with you, the majority of sonic characters aren't needed.

Do you want the series to only have Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Eggman, and maybe Shadow? Sorry, but the series would be pretty boring. And Silver's from the future, and he has PSYCHIC POWERS. You say they aren't needed, but look how much they've done for the story.

How does adding a ton of characters that are typically useless make a game more exciting? They were only useful in the game they were made for and then they become pretty retarded in the next game their in
(There are, a few exceptions that I am aware of, but this applies for the majority of sonic characters.)

You pretty much stated my problem with Silver. No, I don't hate him because he's from the future or he's got a shit ton of psychic powers, that's perfectly fine. But the thing is it was used as a huge gimmick that turned out pretty badly thanks to sega's part. In fact, most of the new sonic characters turn out to be nothing more but gimmicks.
