So, I finally asked Banditger how he does his model rips. It turns out all you need to do is export the model from NifSkope to .obj, export the texture to .tga, and then fix things up in a modelling program. So hilariously simple in hindsight, though I did try the exporting from NifSkope thing before, and the resulting model refused to import to Blender, so I assumed the same result would occur for 3DS Max. Oh, how wrong I was.
In short, I'm gonna re-do all my model rips, this time with unanimated poses, and the scales unaltered. Awesome.
