Man I love this thread. It's a shame though...most of my devamps are in R/B/G style
(That and most of them have already been done by nick, whose are way better.)
I'd never tried G/S style, so I decided to take a whack at it, and...oh man, I hate G/S style. x.X
I don't know. I really like the pose, I think I managed to take advantage of the 56x56 without distorting his proportions too much. The palette really killed me and that's where I'd like advice. I was looking through the G/S sprites and saw that whenever they could use color (even if the secondary color was really small/unneeded), they'd use color, and so decided not to just use two shades of blue, which would be more 1st Gen-esque. But I HATE dithering, and I still feel like it looks too much like an MS paint doodle.
So yeah, C+C massively appreciated. I used Feraligatr's palette, btw. (Also, I saved a copy of the lineart since I might redo it using a grey color as the secondary shade to get rid of the big chunks of black).
