Nick, I'm not interested in your case, rules are rules.
Reserving sprites makes sure everybody knows you're working on it, regardless of the time you take.
You might want to reserve a sprite ahead in case there are times when you can't.
Besides, it doesn't take much to edit the first post or your own.
As for Pokémon that have already been done, I forgot to mention that it's okay to redo your own sprites if you're not happy with them; what i'm not okay with is making one's own sprite when there's another one existing, by somebody else. One can, however, suggest improvements via edits; if the sprite hasn't been touched in a while (ie more than a month), I can understand. The priority is to get all these Pokémon done. They can always be improved after-something you've been doing whilst producing more new ones.
Now let's be less antagonistic and carry on this project!
