Most just REVAMP visuals and audio and go with that. Some don't even do that and call it a remake(many gba games).
So really the fact that nintendo went ahead and revamped the visuals and apparently some audio along with a new game plus which made the game more interesting, is a pretty nice plus all together. Sure it's not the best thing ever, but bad and effortless is out of the question.
Not to mention this is literally what many fans throughout the zelda series WANTED, that or mm remake, so all in all it delivers.
Most of the remakes ive seen have actually managed to make the graphics and sound up to date or atleast a whole lot better than what im seeing here
Im sure the gameplay is fine so not bad, but effortless indeed. People asked for a portable MM or OoT but im willing to bet making little to no graphical updates were not at the tippy top of thier lists
