capcom europe's trying to say no no!! we meant...we're blaming the dev room and the way we handled it!! Not...not YOU guys I mean it's our fault for not drawing enough people in to participate...!
I don't really care who or what they're blaming anymore. But you can't take a gamble like that, get every one involved...EXTREMELY involved, and then get scared and stop. I've seen a site call the prototype fan blackmail - play it or else!! - and it kind of was, but I would have complied, sure. It didn't sound like asking for much and I know how nervous this game has made capcom over the years. But, even when they have a more reliable way of gauging fan interest ready for backup, the prototype, they...use the dev room as a gauge of fan interest? The dev room's never been done before, how could you possibly know whether or not your participation rates were good? I don't hate the dev room as an idea but no I didn't participate, I don't have magical ideas I want to submit. Shame on me!! apparently. I was watching, and I was pretty okay with most of the ideas they got, so this was sure a nice premature stupid way to end it. What was the point if you were never gonna give it a chance
