I'm seriously thinking of switching from using MMF2 to MUGEN. I haven't gotten /too/ much done with MMF2 so far, and I feel that not only would the result turn out better in MUGEN, but it would be done at a much faster rate. It would also allow me to do specials, the moves influenced by direction, and a computer AI in a much easier fashion. Coding the attacks and expanding the roster would also be incredibly faster/easier as well.
