his point is completely valid in that he is addressing the fundamental reason for why someone would believe in God in the first place. its not just about OH I CANT TOUCH GOD its about every possible means we have of applying any kind of actuality to God, of determining whether or not there was actually a good reason to believe in God in the first place. And if it comes to be that no reason can be found, then the belief should be abandoned; any belief that cannot be justified and continues to be held is irrational.
