That's cool, and so is the L2/R2 button inclusions, but with the analog stick to the right of the buttons, it still looks stupid to use.

Why does it matter if it looks "stupid" to use? I'm not playing a 3ds in the first place to attract my girlfriend to me even more.
And if you mean unusable, I'll heartily disagree.
EDIT: Also, the psp's analog stick is under the directional pad, but never hear anyone gripe about that.
The PSP's analog stick is bad, period.

And I don't mean "unusable," I mean "unintuitive." It looks like it will ultimately make control overly frustrating.

The idea itself is still stupid. The 3DS doesn't need a second analog stick attachment. There's a touch screen. If this was such an important feature, it should have been in the console from the start.

You can like it as much as you want, opinions are opinions! Nobody is saying you have to hate it. But it's pretty clear that people dislike this for reasons of their own, and for the most part, those reasons are fair.

Developers are mad about this, too, so it's not just angry Nintendo haters that are upset about this announcement.

People will cool off soon, but they are still warranted to be dissatisfied with it.
