well I have a lot of first impressions after my shot in the mushroom cup.
Honestly, game play wise this game is like a blast from the past with new gimmicks to make itself look fresh, I've yet to completely tinker around with the kart customization but it seems A-OK for now. And I'm saying that in a really positive way. However I'd avoid playing it in first person mode since my huge gripe with that is that the motion controls in the 3ds doesn't really give it any justice what so ever, I find it more of a hindrance while playing it and it seems like you have no way of disabling it. However the only positive thing in First Person mode is the 3D effect and to be honest, that looks amazing in my opinion.
track wise don't expect anything much different unless you're playing on a WuHu course. Now to be fairly honest the idea of having one long track is a fairly interesting one, if you are really keen to find shortcuts then you have a variety of ways to get to the end and I managed to find one shortcut that allowed me to use my glider for a bit. I also notice another one however I decided not to use it. In other words you can pretty much get from point a to point b many different ways. Also the track is divided by sections to tell you how close you are to the end, which is similar to laps but hey.
I've yet to try the communities or online multiplayer.
