Uuugh the Legend of Spyro series is ugly and unattractive, and it just doesn't look like Spyro anymore. Also

If you enjoyed them, you'll probaly like A Hero's Tail. It's basically the originals, but there are no lives, and the level structure is different. It has multiple playable characters much like Year of the Dragon, but each character offers something almost completely different.

thisthisthisthisthisthisthisthisthis. I have not played the PS games, but I can say that Hero's Tail was very likely the best game before the original series died. Don't let Enter the Dragonfly's bugginess turn you off, AHT is vastly improved in pretty much every way. I completed the game 100% and was actually starting a new game as Ember. It's definitely up there with my much more favored games. Highly recommended for classic Spyro lovers.
