Reading tutorial =/= Knowing how to make the sprite
Detail it, point out flaws:
EG:
Kirby is too sharp, and not the rounded circle he should be. Hes also too purple. Study the features on kirby and learn basic techniques such as aa, before you try something in a style that would be more difficult to someone who's new to spriting.
I would also look at the way kirby would normally move, the movements are choppy and edited from the same sprite again, and again.
Hes also pillowhsaded, small things in paper mario (or even som rather large things) are supposed to look flat, so they don't have any shading on them, only aa, which you should look up.
