Thought I'd bump this because they showed off a new biome and I think it looks pretty nice:
It's a jungle biome. Apparently the new AI guy they hired wants to add jungle animals too, according to this tweet. And, to top it all off, the most recent snapshot makes vines climbable when they're attached to a block, meaning those giant trees can be easily scaled. So I'm probably going to make an awesome treehouse as soon as I find a jungle.
