Katawa Shoujo

I'm just not really sure how I feel about this game, quite honestly :F

I mean, okay, it seems like a cool concept and all (complete with the research, I like this), but I never really had an interest for dating games in general.

"Dating game" really doesn't do it justice. It's primary focus is on Hisao's coming to terms with his condition. It's about him coming out of his shell and finding new friendships. It's about getting over his initial prejudices and looking beyond physical appearances. "Romance novel" would be a much better word to describe it than "dating game", and even then, the quality of the writing in Katawa Shoujo is much better than most of the romance novels I've read.

Of course, I'm just gushing right now since I absolutely loved the game, but I'd recommend you at least give it a try before you knock it.
