um, the big text saying 'GUNSTAR SUPER HEROES' should give you enough clue
Seriously, it's a good GBA game. It's basically an enhanced remake of the original Gunstar Heroes from SEGA Genesis, but with a handful of differences in gameplay.
If you never played Gunstar Heroes in any way, it's a run-and-gun game (the same game style of Contra and Metal Slug). You can choose between four weapons at any time, and killing enemies increases a super bar which can be used for super blasts. It also has melee-combat techniques such as flying kicks, slides, beam swords etc. which can be devastating.
You are free to choose which level you'll start first, and things get harder later in the game. Interestingly and differently from most run-and-guns, the levels vary greatly from gameplay so while you shoot the hell out of enemies in one level, you can also find yourself riding a fast robot running on a tunnel's ceiling, trying to knock out enemies from an airplane and even playing a dice game to defeat the boss. Certainly a really good game.
