I may seem a bit biased, but I'm a moderator for the Stencyl community and have been part of it for a few years now. I highly recommend it, having used it for my own game creation for a while now and publishing my first successful game on Kongregate using it.

Kongregates Flash games, and as my brother has attmepted it, he found it rather mind boggling. I think gors would be wanting a downloadable client (yes/no? I do). anyway Gamemaker is important you can make iOS apps now with GM Studio.

Please put in smartbombs and/or flamethrower.
Can't wait to see what other graphics you come up with, i love the style
