Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated?

Gen3 was lackluster compared to gen2 because it lacked a lot of the stuff that made gen2 awesome

like abilities and double battles and a varied world map

it had like six double battles and everyone prefers singles, abilities werent really an improvement, just a change and if by varied world map you mean 50% water then sure
