There are at least two ways.
1. You can scale the borders of the image and add mirror images of the texture.
2. You can try to flip the parts of the UV's that overlap the boarder and place them over the correct texture section.
Or you can leave them as they are and the user can use settings in there program to fix the texture issue (if the program has the settings). With Blender, I can check two boxes and it fixes the render.
