To be honest, I hated SM3DL, because it was supposed to be a 3D Mario game that plays like a 2D game, which sounded like music to my ears, but was horrifically linear with only a few branches and useless secret exits. How hard is it to branch paths in a 3D enviroment? Even the map was a single line!
Aside from the fact that I 100%'d the game on my friends copy, I see myself going for NSMB2 sooner than SM3DL. I hope they'll add replay value for a change rather than annoying and frustrating challenges (dying a lot'll keep you busy >.>)
Sorry for the rant, but especially after playing the surprise gem that is Kid Icarus: Uprising, I realize how stale the Mario main games have become. Nintendo, do this one justice, please, and make this one the true next SMB3. The P bar is a start.
