How come I can still see what I'm doing and control the vehicle in F-Zero, but Sonic slides like his shoes are wax and the levels blur into one color.

I only had this problem on Unleashed, where the stages are TOO FREAKING FAST and you can't really react to anything. Colors is not that fast and you pretty much see and react to anything. Generations I guess it is at the start, but you eventually get used to it. At least I did.

Also, it's easier to design a track than a stage. F-Zero cars go at max speed most of the time, so I'm inclined to think that the game "tricks" you to have a sensation of speed, while Sonic you pretty much are going very fast, since you can go really slow and all that.
