The whole point of self-criticism is not to bash yourself for anything you do. it is, instead, to boost your own morale and confidence when you know and realised you did it right. that alone is half the work you should do as an artist.

Adding to that is to not to take things too far, or you won't make it and just end with a pool of excuses, which reminds me I need to stop taking self criticism the wrong way.
