I find myself agreeing and disagreeing. SMB3 was a big leap forward from the previous games. NSMB was well, not amazing in my own opinion, but I found myself really enjoying the Wii one.
I didn't mind NSMB and NSMB Wii looking pretty much the same graphics-wise (as in style) but it does annoy me that NSMB 2 looks the same, as it just seems a bit lazy. I'm not really a fan of polygons on flat floor either, but that's not too important.
I just know that I'd be more excited for NSMB 2 if it looked different. And with how beautiful Rayman looks I'm a bit disappointed that Nintendo isn't presenting it's 2D games in a nicer fashion (minus Wario, that was nice). Graphics isn't THAT important but it doesn't mean things couldn't look nicer.
