You mean like how Roy was used as a product advertisement and his game was never released any place outside Japan?

Not sure if you noticed, but Nintendo is based in Japan, and primarily interested in advertising to Japan with characters that people know in Japan.

This is news to me, I thought it was actually based in Italy b/c that's where Mario came from !!!




seriously though, there shouldn't be anything wrong with them using an American-exclusive character in the next Smash, since that means they can re-market the game so that Japanese fans can play it.
