Hey there Virtualboy.
I like these sprites, especially the girl!
However, I have a few issues with both, but I won't reiterate what Keiang or PixelPixie have said.
Roshi's mouth is quite discreet and doesn't reflect the way it is usually depicted in Dragon Ball. Also, the sunglasses: they tend to have a red frame and the lenses are green. I think his left leg (to our right) could be more defined, as I can't really tell what's happening there. Giving him his stick and making him slouch will make him seem older, too.
Now, for the girl.
The current pose lacks tension: it would suggest force, which is necessary for balance. I tried to convey this by straightening the leg and arching the back. Bringing the arms closer to the body will give a kind of intensity and closeness to the pose, suggesting that spreading her arms any further would make her fall over.
I hope this is useful. It'd be a pleasure to elaborate if needed!
