Your main problem here is that you haven't given any actual examples of your work. You've told us what language you program in, but I highly doubt anyone will seriously hire a programmer without seeing for themselves what they are capable of. Most people who will want, and who have the determination, to make a game will already know how to program, at least a little, so you need to show that you can do a better job than them, otherwise they might as well do it themselves.
