Okay I'm gonna make this simple and direct it to the original poster so that we don't derail anymore
You can do this style fine. That's nice and all. But if you want to improve as an artist, then you need to change what you do. Your art will stagnate and then what's the point? Shoot, you sure don't have to give up FE entirely, but you don't have to do -only- FE either. If you just do the same thing over and over again, then there's not much to C+C on, and it becomes a showcase. tSR is for critique, not showcasing. So please, if someone like meta gives you C+C, do not flat out ignore it, whether you agree or not. That's entirely rude and disrespectful.
I mean, I draw goofy faces all the time, and I can draw a decent body in a certain position, but you make me try to do harder poses or other things and suddenly it looks like I've lost 2 years of experience. That's not good. It's tough and it makes me feel dumb, but I know those are the parts I have to work on hardest.
