Delightfulness of the Strange - Quirky Games Project
#34
Yawn, just got up and still waking up this morning:

The Morning Adventure (GBA)

While the game itself is a platformer and the only thing really quirky is the main character design, the roots of the game however is different to make it such. It is to promote a chocolate/chip broiche bread bun called Mananitos and it was only released in Spain (that begs the question why it is called The Morning Adventure instead of say Aventura de la Manana or something, I'm not good at Spanish). To make matters worse is that there is very little info regarding this game online except an English translation and Bit Managers made the game (who made those Infogrames Asterix and The Smurfs games, the latter even having leftover sprites in the ROM) but if I have to guess the only way you can buy this game who be some sort of buy X amount of Mananitos and send tokens plus maybe pay a few Euros. I think in the future this would end up being a really rare GBA game for collectors since as far as I can tell it wasn't sold in the stores.
