Guys remember the DLS files. Those are important. Without them, the MIDIs will use whatever sounds your system uses for MIDI playback and not those it should use. The MIDIs only hold what sound should be played when et cetera, but no actual sounds. Those are inside the DLS files. MIDI alone will most likely sound nothing like the original, MIDI plus DLS should sound (almost) the same.
So for WinAMP, you'd need to make sure it uses the DLS files, too, but I'd have no idea how to do that.
