Woppet, shut your GAWDDamn mouth, you know I love you to pieces but despite that love, and overall respect for most things you say and do you still said:

i picked up DmC4 brand new from a flea market for £2 a few weeks ago.
It's like I've been saying for a while now: "Everyone kinda woke up past 13-14 or whatever age and said: "HEY too many people like Final Fantasy 7 so I'm gonna stop liking it, or I claim that the masses aren't correct in clamouring to it, it's not like it changed anything significant for Final Fantasy in the Western world or anything!"
Too many people I find online kind of get a stick up their butt about things they like or use to like and suddenly think that not liking, or stop liking something makes them more 'tasteful'. Wow, way to be grown up not liking something because you as child like it. Oh wait, it's a videogame one of the least things in the world that could be looked at as a medium where that kind of opinion would actually matters. I get that Videogames deserve to be treated like a higher form of art, but not at the cost of its roots.
To further a point: Dante was always a asshat towards demons who demanded respect simply because they are powerful, or old, or both. Just because he's no longer some sort of lone anime hero who can just smile and put a bullet in your face doesn't make the current Dante any less than what he was: A child with a lot of power who can stick it to all the old fogey who think they can't be beaten or told to for a lack of a better phrase?: "FUCK YOU!"
'Wannabe edgy' isn't a thing, and I called you out on it like a good friend should. Don't worry about it though, I only did it because everyone else with an opinion I think holds less weight to me than yours needed me to point a finger. It means I respect you more than anyone else, and I don't intend to let this opinion slide anymore unchallenged, especially from my friends.
Also we should race to see who can beat the game first on release day.
