I didn't watch the video, but being the TF2 player that I am (or maybe it's just me), I think I get supernova's humour. Those poop goombas are pretty original and chuckle-worthy. And I have to admit, Mario jumping on cars in a city looks pretty cool, I think interesting obstacles could be presented.
I'm not saying it's the next Super Meat Boy or anything, but for a Mario clone this isn't actually all that bad.
But then again, I watch videos about giant Engineers saying "cream gravy" and exploding Demomen, so I'm not sure how valuable my judgement is here.
