The writing is still really good, I've laughed out loud a few times and it has me smiling frequently. It's just that there's not as much writing, and there's barely a story to tie any of it together.
I'm on world 3, which is my favourite world so far, and the chapter actually has a central character with his own personality, and an actual story that ties the stuff you do in world 3 together. Unfortunately, that central character is a generic Wiggler...named Wiggler.
I swear they were under specific orders not to create any new characters while developing this game. It's bizarre. I kind of hope they do an Iwata Asks on the game that gives some insight into their design philosophy, because I'm completely stumped.
