Just correcting, this IS a sprite. Sprite is any 2D graphic used in games, and since this can be used as such, then it's a sprite.
What this isn't is a PIXELART, as by Thumbtacks' definition. Now, personally, I think this would be better if this was pixelart because that's the type of art we're used to give criticism. Try making a pixelart!
