except I use them to paint over large areas and block out colors, and automatic anti alias is something I don't really want, heheh

if you can get over those stuff, you can use it without problems. But I simply can't, I prefer using xp paint's more simplified look and its features.

You can change the size of your pencil stroke.

Its the same thing as brushes in XP.
