No, I'm a macfag and TiledGGD doesn't run through Mono (I think?). There's a separate, original program called GGD, it's essentially TiledGGD but doesn't have as many features.
I don't get what you mean with "models are just a bunch of text". And how can you 'find' a format?
Getting inside the KLDATA2-5 now.
EDIT: KLDATA1 and KLDATA5 look eerily similar. They're exactly the same size, they begin the same, they end the same, the middle parts are exactly the same... The MD5 hashes don't match though, so they aren't 1:1. I don't have diff so I can't pinpoint exactly where the differences occur, but since there's five of these, would it be safe to assume that these are batch "stuff" files that get loaded in only a few occasions. Are there like, five worlds in the game? Five levels? Five instances where it would make sense to load a bunch of shit to RAM? I've never played the game sorry. :<
