The a's in "appeared" are too big. Lower it down by a pixel. Pikachu should also be fatter. He's way too skinny now.

Waddle Doo is supposed to have hair on his head thing. Without it, he looks like a robot.

I agree with the Pikachu issue. He could also keep the same sprite and change the ears to make a nice Pichu as well.
As for the waddle doo, it is missing the two strands of hair on it's head. It's not because without it he looks like a robot. It's the cold stare in it's eyes- excuse me, eye. This is a thing of preference, but if you made the waddle doo's eye glossier or gave it some sort of facial expression it would look more life like. It would also look nice if it's eyes popped out more.
