The definition of "playing it safe". The only thing those riot shields can't withstand is a grenade. Alternatively, you can wait up and these bozos will shoot at you, leaving themselves open.
Also, that sword they hide behind isn't just for show, yo~. So getting up close isn't that recommended.
...Unless you're Ralf Jones, in which case you've probably punched 'em into next Thursday already.
