A little bland, looks like a baby penguin, maybe add glasses if he is supposed to be a scientist.

I remembered your ref being dressed as someone from that cyborg 09 show, is your character fully human?

Also weapons would be more on the lines of
Bats,knuckles,bombs,guns,lasers,boxing gloves,shurikens,etc...

Since the setting is more modern/futuristic.

I might even add a part where the player pilots a huge robot.
