You don't have enough movement visible, Hiyna. With such small sprites you really need to exaggerate the actions so they show up on screen. I think Virtuaboy also had some character templates to go by (my body type is same as Gors etc etc), so I'd just follow those for the sake of uniform-ness (?).

Also I'd vote for the smaller mugshots, personally. I don't know how you plan to use them but given the color limitations they looker better smaller. When you have them at the larger size they seem unfinished-ish.
