Ahh crystal castles are fucking mental. I saw them live when Alice was on crutches but she was still so wild! that was pretty soon after they released the second album, such a good night
i've been listening to beach house since 2010 i guess. I heard the song Master of None and absolutely loved it. Then i gave Teen Dream a listen and it was awesome; Take Care is such a good song it's unbelievable. Bloom was so great too. I only got into their early work quite recently and it doesn't disappoint. All of their albums are just excellent and their short film/music video Forever Still was pretty cool and they got Ray Wise to act in the video for Wishes. I love Ray Wise so much. He was sooo good in Twin Peaks.
The Smiths are excellent also even though Morrissey's a bit of a twat. The first two albums are incredible, i've listened to them so so many times. Meat is Murder is alright i guess, Barbarism begins at Home and Meat is Murder are probably my favourite tracks on it. It's nowhere near as good as the first two though. The same for Strangeways too, How soon is Now is banging but it's the only notable song on the album.

DAVID LYNCH'S NEW SONG!!! (non-spotify link)
I like it a lot. It's more like the stuff he did with Julee Cruise when he was making Twin Peaks.

Washed Out have got a new album out this summer and it could be good!
they were in with the chillwave scene in 2009 along with Toro Y Moi and Neon Indian when they released their Life of Leisure EP which had some really great tracks. Feel It All Around and New Theory are probably my favourite. The distant vocals and long reverb just give that lazy summer day kind of feeling which is delightful.
This is a really cool session they did. I prefer this version of the song to the album version. Those rich keyboard tones are much nicer than the kind of wavey tremolo strings in the album version.
Here's the teaser they've released for the new album:
From what's there it sounds like it's influenced by Gold Panda a bit. The kind of gamelan-y tones towards the end and the rhythm is quite like Gold Panda.
