Look, the fact is that the "legends" game they are promoting now, that is to be some sort of replacement
or apology game for the cancellation of mml3 is in no way, shape, or form a Megaman Legends game.
From your own example, It would be as if they were in prototype stages of a third oracle in its original style,
suddenly abandoned development whilst blame the fanbase for the cancellation, then several months later
released a video showcasing a vaguely similar puzzle game with Oracle 3 stamped on it. It isnt oracle 3,
it isn't anything like the established franchise. Similar isn't IS, and simply cant be.
The argument isn't that people are complaining that they are getting some crappy fangame, Its that Capcom
has decided to tack on some excuse as to why they still have decided to leave a very much wanted game out
of development. Aside from copyrights, this fangame has nothing to do with Capcom, Its a cash grab with no soul.
Not to say that the original freelance hobbyists that began making this fangame were making it without soul to begin
with, but Capcom simply buying them out and taking a free ride to the bank is a dick move.
As consumers we have a right to decide what we spend our money on. If a large portion of your consumer base
continually asks for a product that you already had in development to be finished so that they may purchase it
from you, one can assume that It would be a wise move to deliver that product, regardless of of how you view your
own product. From the same note, It makes no sense to invest time or money into a project that has little or no
support from your consumer base.
Just my 2cents.
TLDR: We don't like this game because it isn't the game we wanted in the first place. It isn't about being "picky"
or "difficult," we just want the opportunity to purchase the game we wanted in the first place. I don't see
anything unreasonable about that.
