I must be in the minority then; I've never been one fond of blurriness in Heads Up Displays. After all, this is just the user interface, so there's no reason any aspect of it should appear blurry and out of focus; if it isn't supposed to be focused, it's better either transparent, grayed out, or just not there at all.
I can say, though, that this might hint at them using motion blurs for battle scenes where possible (think Quick Attack and ExtremeSpeed). Blurriness fits perfectly in that regard, since you literally can't focus on things that are moving too fast.
