Didn't think this deserve its own thread, but maybe a nice discussion here in the lounge would be cool.
I'm just kind of assuming most of us here are collectors, so I've been wondering... what do you do with those boxes cartridge games came in, and the occasional odds an ends to spruce up newer games? They never seem to survive very long on a shelf or when actively handled, so when I was younger I would just chuck them. As I got older I began freaking out about that and had a spot in the closet for them, where I just stacked them all as best as I could.
My girlfriend earlier was lamenting that her old game boxes consume so much room in her house and was considering tossing them. That immediately hit the wrong chord with me, so I set about for a solution to minimize the amount of space the boxes and such take up without totally destroying them.
Eventually I settled on this:

That is, a comic book bag with a proper backing. They're a good size for most things, and the smaller boxes are suspended halfway up or down by the static generated from the plastic and the air pressure locked around them. I'll be getting one of those comic white boxes to store these in, with dividers to separate by console (and DVD/BluRay as well).
So I'm just wondering, what do you guys do with the boxes and packing material?
