GRAAAAAAAAH
I ENJOYED THAT FAR MORE THAN I SHOULD HAVE
((and I am finally back :S)
Wowee I just caught the 3rd legendary
i can't think of everything now but here I shall dump opinions in no particular order
(I got Y and stopped following info 3 weeks ago--last thing I saw was Honedge evolution)
it was really nice to see so many new pokemon-I haven't gotten to feel that in 10 years--it's really nice
EXCEPT THERE ARE FAR TOO FEW POKEMON
WAYYYYY TOO FEW
(bluh)
I really really like Froakie, Helioptile, Skrelp, and Clauncher's final evolutions. A lot (potential top 20 pokemon ever)
That being said Spritzee's is atrocious. I was expecting some awesome plague doctor dark/fairy thing and I end up with this monstrosity. Welp, no use complaining ♪
I ended the game with a Greninja, Heliolisk, Venusaur, Tyrantrum, Aromatisse, and Hawlucha.
It was the first time I didn't plan my team in a really long time : D
Delphox is okay, Chesnaught is cool--but looks nothing like the other two.
(which was actually my issue with Chespin's whole line--great pokemon individually, but I don't like them as starters (it's really just the fact that it breaks an unofficial pattern--really just personal bias :S))
Uh, the gym leaders were okay, I guess. I really only liked Ramos. A little dissapointed, but the gyms themselves were great.
The elite four was great! I loved the four of them! Victory road was really intense and well paced! The castle is beautiful! And the champion really caught me off guard (though I should have seen it coming)! Gah probably my favorite elite four!!
I really liked the story--but I wish there was a little more with AZ. The ending battle was a nice surprise though :J
WHY ARE THERE SO FEW POKEMON
HRNNNGH
I guess my issue is if you're going to have less than 75 in a gen don't show OVER 40 in the pre-release hype.
While it was nice to see older pokemon, I feel like it was just a way to inflate the lack of 'mons in game.
Dialogue was beautifully cheesy! It was lame, but in a good way. I really can't explain it, but all I can say is it's over 9000 (I only use this joke because it's actually used in game by a trainer) times better than BW2 (shudders). The localizers really had fun with it : D
I like having 4 friends instead of one rival! It was nice that there was one main one (gender counterpart) and the others were there to check your dex progress or just be nice relief. I didn't like the awkward romantic tension they tried to create with Shauna, though. I actually want to know now what they did if you picked the girl : O
Uh, I guess for final verdict--I really really really enjoyed Pokemon Y.
But at the same time there were quite a few things that frustrated me greatly (MegaCharizard X, no gen 5 megas, lack of pokemon, and other things I can't think of)
Overall I'm very satisfied and very happy. The best part by far was being able to go into the game (somewhat) blind and find new pokemon I genuinely didn't see before.
And now I can browse TSR safely again : D
(sorry for obnoxiously long post)
