Ehh, this is just my opinion, but thinking we can make a better Pokedex than Game Freak is ridiculous.
I think it's only worse to avoid making something like Samurott. What makes the official Pokedex great is that it's full of everything: stuff that make sense and don't, pretty things, cute things, cool things, hideous things. It's stupid to avoid the ugly to make a better Pokedex. In fact, it wouldn't be a Pokedex without one or two abominations.
