Recently discovered inFluent on Greenlight, which is a game to help you learn languages. It's 3D, and essentially you're in your house/apartment and have a gadget that translates any object, and it gives you synonyms, verbs, etc, and gives you the native pronunciation in audio. It also stores the words you've learnt, and you can test yourself by seeing if you can locate the objects it tells you to. And all this is at your own pace, without any real path or anything. It seems more like a learning tool, rather than something that actively teaches you.
The only thing is that each language has to be bought as a separate pack. I'm not sure how it'll work on Steam (if it gets Greenlit) but that's how it is on PLAYISM (where you can already buy it). I think the first pack might not cost though.
But yeah, seems like a really cool way to learn a language.
