There was some discussion earlier in the month about the Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels offer actually being the Wii version and not actually the version available from the Nintendo eShop. I figured this was merely a coincidence which would be fixed, but tonight I finally decided to check it out for myself. The Club Nintendo product page clearly displays the Nintendo Wii, so I cast my coins to the winds and gave it a try.
I can confirm, yes, the version of Lost Levels currently available is the Wii release. If you haven't updated to the Wii U yet and are interested in (legally) experiencing Lost Levels in its original form (as opposed to the All-Stars version), this is a cool thing. If you do have a Wii U... Nothing's stopping you, but you'll have to shell out a buck to upgrade to GamePad support.
