I literally just swapped colors from the palette onto your avatar (yours is on the right), it doesn't even look too different brightness wise. It looks lighter, not darker? And I mean, you'd be using less colors on your sprites in this anyway so just choose the lighter shades in that case, dude.

Lighter? The new version is clearly darker, unless you mean the underfur, in which case, yeah, looks radioactive.

Look, there are a variety of ways to very clearly and creatively use a limited palette to your advantage--think of it as a challenge. No negativity and backhanded sarcasm will accomplish anything, so if the set palette doesn't accommodate your character, this might not be the right project for you.





On a lighter note, I really love the character menu Chris!
Does that mean you pick the stage first and it's the background for the character select screen?
