I love you all to death (Just so I can smash bros with you) (SSBWiiU/3DS)

"Items are OP."
Maybe because they are, and you haven't really refuted that, even if I write an essay.

I could say "Hey, the hammer's head flies off" or "Hey, the Gold Hammer is usually a squeaky toy", but that's already been done.
Not really, especially since the majority of them will then go "but I don't play with "blank" because I do find that OP. I'm pretty also sure I went into detail on this, but you pretty much brushed it off.

Luck and chance doesn't break the game, not even a little bit. Sure, the items get in the way of that panicked/twitchy playstyle most major league Smashers use, so I can imagine them being a butt for those guys to play with... but maybe they could adjust their playstyle to be less haphazard given that.
Expect Luigi's rocket is seldom used for anything other than recovery, and the super launch can be as much of a burden by overshooting or putting you into a bad spot. Also, without the fast paced "twitchness" the game would be much more defensive, slower, and less of a challenge. It would kind of be like Brawl, and guess which Smash game has less support because of it's slower, more defensive and less twitchy style.

Bullshit buddy, try reading what I said again. It's not offbase at all. A quick move that has a 1 in 7 chance to OHKO someone is rarely used because it considered unreliable. (It doesn't pull the last two used number, in case you say something about there being 9 numbers, and it uses 1 and 2 in that beginning of the match)The squeaky hammer and the hammer head flying off happen less than that.
The fact that the move move considered unreliable has a much higher chance to OHKO happens more than the downsides of the weapons shows that something is up. I don't think I can explain it more clearly. The items are OP, especially compared to the cast's movesets. If you add items, the combat would without a doubt revolve around the items.

If I remembered correctly, we were told to cut it out the last time it was brought up. I could be mistaken given the fact that I've slept since then, however.
