The guy wrote and directed one bad game and now he's a liability to the entire series? I mean Miyamoto had his share of flops (with his only big one being Sticker Star; Miyamoto's only other flops are minor spin-offs and new IPs that didn't catch fire), yet he's had more hits than misses. Sakamoto has had a number of good ideas in games and some hits and only one big miss (Other M).
Sakamoto should get a second chance at Metroid. Sure he'll need to be kept in check keep him from going overboard, but I'm sure he's still got good games and ideas left in him.
